The IT Girl Breakfast – Tiramisu Overnight Oats

There’s something about a breakfast that’s effortless yet indulgent, one that feels like a little act of self-care first thing in the morning. Enter Tiramisu Overnight Oats—creamy, chocolatey, and just the right amount of fancy. It’s one of those meals that makes you feel like that girl—put together, well-fed, and ready to take on the day.

Now, the original recipe calls for yoghurt, but since I’m not a yoghurt person (nor did I have any at the farm), I skipped it entirely and swapped in sliced banana and extra dark chocolate shavings. And let me tell you, it works so well. The banana adds a natural sweetness, the chocolate makes it feel indulgent, and the coffee? That just ties everything together beautifully. So here’s both the classic and my version—pick your fighter.

The Classic Tiramisu Overnight Oats

Ingredients:

• ½ cup rolled oats

• ½ cup milk of choice

• 2 tbsp yoghurt (Greek or plain)

• 1 tbsp brewed coffee (cooled)

• 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup

• 1 tsp chia seeds (optional, but great for thickness)

• ½ tsp vanilla extract

• A pinch of cocoa powder (for layering)

• Dark chocolate shavings (for garnish)

Method:

Mix everything—oats, milk, yoghurt, coffee, honey, chia seeds, and vanilla extract—in a jar. Stir well, cover, and pop it in the fridge overnight. By morning, it’s thick, creamy, and ready to be layered with cocoa powder and chocolate shavings for that tiramisu magic.

The Banana Twist – My Version

Ingredients:

(Same as above, but with these swaps)

• Replace the yoghurt with half a sliced banana

• Double up on the dark chocolate shavings (because why not?)

Method:

Same process—mix everything, let it sit overnight, and in the morning, top it with sliced banana, cocoa powder, and all the chocolate your heart desires. The banana melts into the oats, making them naturally creamy and a little sweeter, which balances the coffee perfectly.

Why This Breakfast Slaps (aka The Health Benefits)

Not only does it taste like dessert for breakfast, but it’s also packed with real nourishment to fuel you through the day.

• Oats = sustained energy + happy gut. Loaded with fibre, they keep you full for hours and support digestion.

• Coffee = morning motivation. A little caffeine kick helps wake you up and boosts focus.

• Dark chocolate = mood booster. Full of antioxidants, good for the heart, and let’s be real, it just makes life better.

• Banana = natural sweetness + potassium. Keeps sugar cravings in check while giving your body a solid energy boost.

• Chia seeds (if using) = extra fibre + Omega-3s. Basically a superfood in disguise.

• Greek yoghurt (if using) = protein + probiotics. Great for muscle recovery and gut health.

Do try this recipe if you’ve got a sweet tooth like me and let me know your feedback :)

Love,

Your farm girl- Akshita
